Tom Heryán co-authored a study related to the impact of industry on human health
In cooperation with the Medical Faculty of the University of Ostrava, Tom Heryán has become a co-author of a current study focusing on historical estimates of air pollution and their comparison amongst the industrial and non-industrial region in the Czech Republic within the HAIE (Healthy Aging in Industrial Environment) research project. The paper has been entitled "Air Pollutants over Industrial and Non-Industrial Areas: Historical Concentration Estimates" and has been published in a special issue of the WoS journal ATMOSPHERE (2020 IF 2.69, AIS 0.63). The study is currently being followed by ongoing epidemiological research within HAIE focusing on industrial air pollution and its impact on cardiovascular, oncological, and respiratory deaths in 1997-2017.
