Markéta Šeligová graduated in Banking at the School of Business Administration in Karviná, Silesian University in Opava in 2014. From 2012 to 2014, she worked as a banking and financial advisor in Modrá pyramida, stavební spořitelna a.s. in Karviná. From 2014 to 2018, she worked as an internal doctoral student at the Department of Finance and Accounting at School of Business Administration in Karviná and also as a project officer at the Labor Office in Karviná. In 2018, she defended her dissertation on the topic "Funding sources in relation to the management of payment capacities of companies in the Czech Republic" and she obtained a Ph.D. She currently works as an assistant professor at the Department of Finance and Accounting. She conducts lectures and seminars in the fields of Managerial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Managerial Accounting. She also conducts seminars in the subjects of Financial Accounting I and Financial Accounting II. As part of her scientific activities, she focuses on financial accounting, cost accounting and managerial accounting.
