Jana Janoušková is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics of the VŠB – Technical University in Ostrava where she also finished her doctoral studies in Business Economics and Management. In 2010, she was appointed as an associate professor in Management. She has worked for the School of Business Administration in Karviná and the Department of Finance and Accounting since 1995. During her career she gained practical experience from working at finance department in the steelmaking company Třinecké železárny and the utility management company OKR Správa sídlišť. Her business activities are focused in the areas of accounting and taxation.
She is member of the editorial board of the Academy of STING, o. p. s. in Brno. For several years she worked in the Academic Senate of the Silesian University, School of Business Administration in Karviná and she is also member of the School’s Scientific Council.
She lectures in courses Taxation and Tax Policy of the Czech Republic, Application of tax law, Tax accounting, Taxation of the assets and consumption.
